I recently acquired a 1958 Trojan Marlin that has spent the last 50 years in an airplane hanger in San Diego. It was last registered for the 70-71 season. The owner passed away and his granddaughter inherited the boat, the original 35 hp Johnson sea horse and trailer. Overall the Marlin was in good condition. The engine had the original spark plugs and bees wax insulated coils. Following refinishing the top deck mahogany, having engine work including rebuilt carb, fuel pump, water pump housing, rebuilt starter motor and new plugs and coils, and Sand blasting and powder coating the original trailer, the boat was launched this past summer.
