Looking for info on work done to an F32

Hi
We are close to putting an offer in on an 1974 F32 that had the interior redone a number of years ago by an aviation company in Toronto. The boat had been shown at the Toronto international Boat show back in the early 2000s (2004?) Survey said full refit was done in 2000. I did see a couple pictures of it on an old post in here from Mac32 "Take a look at this f32 (highly modified)"

Was hoping someone on here might have some knowledge to share about this particular boats history (maybe some before resto pictures)

Work was done by GAMG (no longer in business?)
Was re-engined in 2005 with twin Mercruiser Horizon MPI 350 with Velvet Drives 1.56:1 ratio 450 -ish hours on engines)
Props 3 blade bronze 16/14

Note it only has one ventilation blower.
There is play in the throttle and shift controls (is this normal on F32?)

Hull ID Number 321 4706 (Partially obscured so I hope I have this right)
TRJ047060774

Reviewed the Survey from last year and it seems to be good with a couple minor issues and had some forward deck delam near the anchor windless, but low moisture readings there...
Current owner does not have much history on the boat, but she is a beautiful F32

Would be our first large boat so totally new to this - any thoughts what to check/advise is welcome. Trying to go in without emotion but It's such a nice boat.

Cheers

Saw that boat at the show way back when and posted a few comments in mac32's original thread. I posted a couple of pics pulled down from their web site but the resolution is not very good. Never did find the GAMG flier I had with the extra pics, but will make another attempt to see if I can find it over the next few days. Asking price at the boat show (2003?) was something like $120K.

GAMG = Global Aero-Marine Group.

Recommend you get your own survey from a surveyor you trust (don't trust one current owner hands you as it could have been written up by a buddy).

Cables shouldn't have play (but that can happen over time, if proper maintenance was being done that should have been fixed). Single blower - Trojan designed the boat with 2, unless the retrofit from GAMG was with a single blower with twice the original capacity and hose / hoses appropriately routed, may not comply with needs for the boat or regulations. I know GAMG gave up a bunch of the starboard side storage shelf space to build in and recess the entertainment center, so they may have decided on form over function.

That's one thing that concerns me a bit about this boat - GAMG's background was in refitting airplane interiors. Are there things they did on this F32 that look good, but compromise on safety or regulatory requirements? Again, get your own surveyor to find out!

Very nicely done, nothing too radical. Looks really good. The only thing I find a little odd is the way the bow pulpit was done. Not bad just different. Any close-ups of it? Hope it works out.

UPDATE; We are the proud new owners of this F32 and a boathouse to keep her in!
Now I am spending my time learning about all the equipment maintenance needs and operation and planning some small upgrades.
Survey went well - Rudder is getting replaced (was loose between the Stainless shaft and Bronze rudder itself), and there is a few small delams to tend to when I have time.

Congrats on the new Boat. And a boathouse makes it even better.
