Hello all,
Looking for a part number/manufacturer of the shaft log in the subject boat.

Thanks for the info. Just to be clear, it appears that the stainless bolts (poor choice of fasteners in my opinion) are threaded into the backing plate of the shaft log, is that correct? Has anyone found a suitable replacement for these shaft logs that allows a drop in replacement (same bolt pattern) and the use of bronze carriage bolts inserted from the outside through the flange plate?

You could use bronze bolts in place of the SS if that's what you wanted. I don't see any advantage of using carriage bolts. The bolts go into the shaft log for the inside of the boat. The shaft log goes in from the outside.

I'm aware of the orientation of the fasteners and the shaft log and the backing plate, which is exactly the issue for me. On a lot of newer style logs the bolts are inserted from the outside and held in place from spinning by means of the carriage feature integrated into the log flange. This allows one person to tighten the nuts that secure the backing plate from the inside (not that I care about that feature, but it's nice). It also affords the ability to remove one of the nuts from the inside in the event one needs to clean or replace the bonding connection. The current configuration does not afford this advantage without having to completely remove the bolt and introduce water inside. Or in my case, the stainless steel fasteners that were used have suffered the usual crevice corrosion and as such, one of the bolt heads have snapped off despite my ginger efforts in removing the same.
Since the bolts are threaded into the log flange and are now frozen in place, I don't have the option of just using a center punch and driving the fouled bolt out of the log, a feature that would be handy with carriage bolts. Instead, I have to remove the entire log from the hull that's been in place since forever to remove the stuck bolt from the flange. Since I have to go down this road, I figure I would change the outdated shaft logs out to something a little more maintenance friendly for the next time.

Well you did get 33 years out of the set up. I can't find any in that shape that take carriage bolts, I guess a marine shop could machine the log to take carriage bolts. For myself, I am fine with the setup but it's your boat so do it the way you would prefer.

You are correct, but now here we are 33 years later. I'm just looking to improve the set-up for the next 33 years. However, let me show you a couple of examples of what I was referring to, they are more prevalent than you might think:
