PVC panels for deck material

Post by RTKPOQUOSON »

Looking on the net I see that there are PVC panels in a variety of thicknesses. Anyone thought about or used PVC panels for deck material. Initial thought is no rot. Easy to mill, so that I could make some sills for hatches to slow down water intrusion. Just don't know if it would bond with FG. Any thoughts? Thanks

most PVC is not UV stable, brittle (prone to cracking and breaking) and has a fair amount of thermal expansion and contraction. I don't believe it would make a good decking material.
