I bought this boat and dont know weather to rebuild the 8v 71 DD, or replace them and power up. any sugestions?

your choce would depend on what you want out of the boat and what you want to spend . the D.D. 8-71 is outdated so to speak,but is a good engine that can last a long long time (in the non high out put form ).
no longer made .but so many out there I would think parts will be around forever . what is wrong with your engines ? also recc you check out boatdiesel.com
