greetings from the board's newest trojan owner....
well, i finally did the deed and bought a 77 trojan f32. not nearly as clean/nice as greg's (another forum member here in town), but hopefully with a little cleaning and such over the next couple of weeks, a close second. hehe
had some issues today brining it back to the home port (port engine overheated...according to greg could be the impeller...keeping fingers crossed), but looking forward to getting it squared away.
spent most of the day transferring crap from the old boat to the new boat, and running around town trying to find a bloody 50 to 30 amp adapter (failed at that task...hoping it can take a night of no shore power)...came home, about to eat a pizza, and to go bed and dream of boats....boats boats boats boats boats...
thanks to the gregmiester and the wifemiester for the help today!
headed back up tomorrow after work, and will try to get some before pics, and will post the before and afters once i get it cleaned up/organized.
thanks to all of you guys for your input and help over the last few weeks as well. looking forward to picking you'se guys' brains.

congrats on one of the two happiest days...
Actually even though it is an inanimate object, a boat has memories attached to it that can make it's sale a loss.
Impellers are relatively cheap.
Change them both and also clean out your strainers.
Good luck with your prize and enjoy her !

you might want to check e filter that comes off the manifold, when i bought mine the previous didnt knoe why it was over heeating and he said it was the impeller.turns out it was the filter,it was full of gook and rust.

Good move, Tuck! I've got the original 77 Trojan Owner's Manual for my F26, but there is a lot generic information applicable to ALL models from that year. Let me know if you need anything and I can email you the pdf's (still haven't figured out a way to attach them as links on this forum).
Congratulations, and hey, even if the port engine overheat is "major" you weren't planning on having a life after you bought this boat anyway......right???

Welcome Tuck; I'm new too, only my second year in. The info I get from this forum is the best . I did my first impellar job last year, not so bad but also several other jobs with the help of the guys and gals here. Enjoy the adventure. Gary Ga " almost on the way back to the water."

whew! it was just the impeller. got it fixed yesterday by a guy my new boat neighbors told me about.
spent the last two days cleaning out the old owner's stuff and putting in my stuff...going to spend this afternoon/tonight getting it organized, then the next job is to clean the puppy. took the enclosure home last night to let it warm up so i can lay it out and clean the poop out of it. hehe
i would have called in sick today...but they all know i just got the boat.
