packing size and shaft size on f26

Post by jwhalen »

Does the F26 use 5/16 or 1/4 inch packing. Is the standard shaft size on the F26 one inch? It is a 1976 F26.

If you have 1" shaft its 1/4" packing if you have 1 1/8 " saft it would be 3/16 packing you won't have 5/16 (fitts 7/8 and 1 3/8 shafts)

I would bet on 1" shaft

Standard prop shaft & rudder shaft on the F-26 are both 1 in.

I sold my F-26 about a week ago, so now you can call me boatless (except for my 13 ft. whaler, dingy, kayak, canoe and a windsurfer). OK, almost boatless.

I expect to be going over to the dark side next.... wind powered watercraft.

1" Shaft and 1/4" packing is correct for the F-26.

Sorry to hear that you sold your F-26 Chuck. Wish you all the best and good luck with your next boat
