Experts Needed On Mid 60's Options

Greetings to all! I just posted looking for a top. I also would appreciate the opportunity to confer with experts on 65s and 66s. I can buy a 66 without a top but must have one. I would like to be advised as to what could have been on this model and others pertaining to the top and also hull material options such as plywood vs planking. If I add a top I want it to be just exactly as an original option could have and would have been from the factory. I am very concerned about not violating original specs right down to every screw.
