10 meter bimini top question

Post by koviak »

Thinking about putting on a bimini top to cover the aft deck, has anyone else done this? Should I attach it to the arch or freestanding? I am not putting sides on to make an enclosure just looking for some more optional shade and rain protection. Guess this will have to be custom built due to the width of the boat.

send me your e-mil and 'll send along some pix.

The rear bimini is great down here on a really hot day, gives lots of shade and along with the front bimini, a really nice large dry area to escape rain.

It can be removed completely for fishing, or just rolled back for a nice view of the sky.

I put on a bimini and enclosed the whole boat with a camper back. It makes early spring, late fall, and foul weather sailing enjoyable. It was the single best modification I've made. The guy that did the work sold me on not attaching it to the radar arch. What a mistake that was. Now I have no easy way to install lighting.

the best way to get this done is with a local canvas guy.
