Pumping tanks on an F32

Post by obeejr »

I have a bunch of water in one of the forward saddle tanks on my F32 (can anyone say "ethanol"?).

It was recommended that I pump out the tank, or at least pump from the bottom until all the water is out. Am I correct in assuming the the normal pickup tube doesn't go all the way to the bottom of the tank? If so, is there a trick to removing all the junk on the tank bottom?

I can't get at the tank easily, since it is outboard of the engine. I think I have to pull the engine, or at least remove the outboard exhaust manifold, to remove the tank.
