Thank you for the warm welcome
I still can't believe I have this boat coming up to NY.
It is weird how I connected with this boat.
5 years ago I had to sell my wellcraft coastal 33 w/ twin CATS to finish my house I just built. I did keep my pair of jetskis because I love the ocean so much and definitely always missed my boat.
5 years later, the house is sold, I am single again, and I wanted to get back into boating. I decided on a new leftover 08 jetboat w twin supercharged moters just to "dabble in boating" again. 2 weeks after I bought the jetboat I realized I would never be happy coming from a 33 x 13 boat.
SO I just happen to come across this boat at the right time, the broker was submitting a couple bids to the bank, so just for laughs I put in a bid a bit over asking and what do you know, I got her.
So, I re sold the jetboat (for a profit jajajaja!!!!!!) and I am just waiting for the boat to arrive.
Probably everyone on this forum will think I am crazy, but I did not get a survey done. I have always gotten surveys done on other boats , but I knew I was going to buy the boat anyway.
I purchased this boat for the wide beam and for the enjoyment of spending hours and hours and thousands and thousands to get her to a better than new state.
I know I got a good deal and a great platform to start with.
I know the bottom has to be redone.
I know I have to purchase new 4 blade props.
I have Atlantic towers ready to measure the boat for a custom hard top when it arrives in NJ.
I am sure the detroits will leak oil, I am only looking to get a couple seasons with them until I replace with bigger more efficient diesels.
I did all the work to my CATS, so I have plenty of experience.
I have 2 great danes that will be coming on board so the wide beam was very important to me.
I plan on keeping her for many years so she will be a great project.
As soon as I get her to NY, I will post some updated pics....
