2012 Trojan Rendezvous upper Chesapeake bay .

Post by prowlersfish »

Kent , who did many of the past Trojan Rendezvous on the Chesapeake after taking it over from Jerry . Was unable to do it this year due to other comments . There was a email sent out . No one else was able or will to take over at this time . ( it was short notice some) . These rendezvous where normally done in the Rock Hall MD area . Being that it is 160 miles away for me , I could not have set it up with the short notice . Other closer by also where unable to .

Although many from this site did go it was not affiliated with this site . ( I did promote it here )

Perhaps Next year ? as some others and myself are looking at it .

I am still looking at a last minute get to together on the lower bay , But not sure as my boat for the year may becoming to a close .

Anyone that has heard anything else please let me know .

Haven't heard anything ...

And as far as this site...I'm surprised no one has said a thing til now about a round up...I'm guessing no one wanted to run with that ball this yr.

And what's up the early end to the season stuff. The best weather is coming in a few weeks...?

How about one in the solomons or crisfield next year? Some where that would be in the middle for the southern bay boaters and the northern bay boats?

In 2013 we'll be in Chesapeake Bay for our boat's 30th birthday. I think it would be great to have a rendezvous in or around St. Michaels. We had such a great time at the rendezvous there that I'd love to go back. I'm hoping to coordinate the trip with other activities on the way and will try to know my approximate travel plans by this November. I wonder if anyone would come further than we will?

Or the Solomons . You do hold the record for distance . I hold second place . you only beat me by a "few" miles ,only 350-400 miles more I believe .

BTW I expect you to keep the recored ( or break it)

Paul, you could always meet us at Cape May and that would make you the long distance winner.

St Michaels or the Solomons are the most likely spots

I go for either but prefer Solomons. Nice cruise down and back. Word of warning though to others on this site............... beware of those docking at 5knots!
