ENTERPRISE IN THE WATER.... NOW IN COLOR!

Post by aaronbocknek »

as a proud papa would show pics of his kid, i'm showing pics of my 'baby' from lift to wet to rest to water flow out the genset and a/c. enjoy.
and yeah, as they lifted her there was a slight knot in the stomach. she looks amazing with the new black bottom paint though. i made a good choice on that one.

GENTLY LIFTING HER OFF THE BLOCKS (PERRY'S BOAT IS TO MY PORT)

ALMOST WET!

Image

RESTING IN HER TRANSIENT SLIP UNTIL DEPARTURE SATURDAY

Image

GENSET AND A/C WATER FLOW EXCELLENT! (GENSET WATER EXHAUST TEMP A COMFORTABLE 88 DEGREES)

engines ran well, batteries were really low. john my mechanic charged em up over night and though the port battery was low, i used the crossover and jumped from stbd to port. let the engines run for about 15 minutes and engaged transmissions fwd and rev a few times just to get them moving.

i cannot wait to take her out tomorrow!! just what the doctor ordered.

somehow i just KNEW you would buddy..... as long as it's in jest. :)

i tried to get someone to do it, but they were all booked up. why i did not think of this in advance i'll never know. i guess i had too much on my plate. no worries, there is always a way to do it in the water. if not, heck, then next year. either way, she's in the water where she belongs.

you are so right jamie. i almost felt 'normal' this afternoon. i was almost giddy when those engines and genset fired up.... well, the genset needed a little coaxing to get going but that's just her way of saying to me, ''okay, i'll start, but you gotta make me want to start.'' good water flow out the overflow exhaust ports since i cleaned off the through hulls. same for the genset.

Yeh, Nancy likes black bottom paint. I can attest to that fact. :D

Unfortunately IMHO its not a vintage trojan color, well, at least not on my hull anyhow.

Looks great on yours though. Must be the red which helps set it off nicely.

Oh my kingdom for blue with factory(ish) stripes.........

Best of luck tomorrow buddy. I just know you are gonna have an awesome time. I am slightly jealous. I might have to go cook bacon in my galley oven tomorrow in order to get over it. Boy those Princess ranges are a nice option. :P :P

BTW, not to pile on while Aaron is healing, (Nicely too thank G-d), but Paul has a point there. Get a friggin' Sharpie if you must, but get a name and hailing port on that thing would ya?
