Larry,

Nice looking F32, she looks to be in great shape, can you tell us more about the transom door?

I am under the impression that the performance will be fairly close to the same.

Currently your 360 ci motors are putting 250 hp. The 350 ci motors are about 270 hp. each. If swinging the same propellers, there would be almost no noticeable change.

With the newer motors, you might be able to re-work or re-prop the boat to make use of that new hp but I am not too sure on that.

What props are you currently running?

What are you looking to achieve after the re-power?

Not Sure on the size of the props. What I do know is at 2700 RPM i'm running about 17 MPH on flat water at 3000 RPM she cruses comfortably at 20
But at 3000 the old 360s seem to keep breaking things and i'm in constant repair mode. I'm hoping with the New 350 I will be able run at 3000 or even 3200 RPM without problems. Any comments are welcome
Thanks

I think you will make a bit more torque along with that slight increase of HP going from your older 360's to a modern 5.7 drop in solution.

You'll actually be the one telling us the specs after you perform a WOT test and get it propped right.

I too am looking to re-power my F-32. I would like a nice set of modern 5.7s 325hp, but the are definitely out of the budget this year. I have been keping a close eye on the used market aswell. There is a local shop here with a set of Crusaders 350hp 454, with less than 300 hrs. I am temped to pick them up, they would only set me back $3500. If I jumped on those, I would need either new transmissions or props, or both.

One more question the new 350s come with new trans that have a 1.58 ratio the old trans were 1.9 ratio will this increase prop speed since these are both velvet drive reduction transmissions

You will have to down size your props , if your proped right now then when you prop the new engines , I will bet the rpm to speed will be close to the same

Paul, it's been years since I've turned mine up to WOT. I did reach 4400 rpms though, don't recall speed or sea state...

Never had her at WOT I'm afraid the old 360s would blow me into a new dimension. But all running gear is stock so l would assume it would get to 4400 if it held together.
