If the hull is sound I would think it would be well worth it to the right person .I only say that becuse its a Marlin . This looks like another case of of somebody thring to fix one up and destroying it in the process . You find them in every boat yard and even seen a few here .

I've been looking for a decent Marlin for awhile now. That one probably has potential, like you say if its not rotten, and the right person buys it. I'd be inclined to deal with powerplant issues and some cosmetics, but I'm not looking for a total refit project.

There was another one that the owner had put a GM 350 in that was for sale awhile back. Asking price was $4K. I should have made an offer. It had a nice T-Top and console enclosure and it hadn't been painted.

There's no way this guy can say; "Hey, it seemed like a good idea at the time" :? Maybe he was going for the Miami Vise look but he didn't even get that right. I can just imagine what you'd find in a close inspection. Still, it's a good hull and for the right price, time, and money, anything is possible.

I'm thinking now it must have been used in a parasail operation or something like that. Seller says it had a BB 454 in it.

It would explain the awful paint anyhow. Also you can see the remains of JAX on the transom where it had been painted at one time. Lotsa parasail operations out of Jacksonville.

Either way. I'm still looking.......
