crank shafts

hello hope everyone is well- my question is- are the crankshafts in left and right hand rotation 454 gm engines the same ? i think they are and im just looking for some reassurance before i make a decision thanks for any advice.

I believe they are the same. I think the only difference is the camshafts and starters.

Plus the timing chain vs timing gear set-up.

thanks for replys- had a little issue with new rebuilt motor. spun a rod bearing but i have a great crank with original standard bearings from opposite side. hoping to just swap with new set of bearings.

Which one was rebuilt and spun a bearing, the counter rotator? Any indication why it spun?
She was a 1969 36 ft wooden beauty with big blue 440s that we'll miss forever.

And you need to change the rod on the bearing that spun.

thanks guys -it was the reverse rotation engine and the cause was me. installed the engine-pulled out distibutor to prime the oil pump. put it back in and didn t tighten down the fork enough- while motor was running the distributor popped up a bit dissengaging the oil pump drive. doesn t take long to ruin with no oil pressure.
