Nice ,and it looks in new condtion , But I would not say its like a brand new boat as most of the new stuff is new in 2007 and 2008 . I was just looking at a 45 Catalina and it said brand new engine and Genet (2011) 3 years old is not brand new LOL . you see that a lot in ads . :D

So, how much do you think that project cost?

...And we are all Trojan fans, but when does a Trojan guy finally say enough is enough.

I continue to dump money into my 25 year old boat, and every year ask if its worth the money, sweat and tears. I have plans to modernize the systems, and of course keep chasing 25 year old issues...but...

Would it be better to dump the money into a more well know brand like Bertram, Viking, Tiara, or Hatteras?

Of course the other side of the equation is the difficulty in selling a 25 year old, heavy ass, gas guzzling boat.

I see a boat like this and wonder why the owner wouldn't keep it at this point.

I know this boat. We boat out of the same marina and I toured the boat a couple of years ago. He rally did a nice job on the refit. The cost was up there I'm sure. Some of the work was probably reciprocal, that said, the boat is beautiful.

I think diesels would have worked better as RWS had proved, but it would have put the cost out of reach I think.

I have the diesels, but still fawn over his new portlites, hatches and fabrics.

Mine is still wearing her factory original burgundy and grey interior which is still in decent shape, well O.K. the grey is now toast in some places, and the cockpit upholstery is really, really tired but what the hell, if my wife hadn't gotten sick we would have cruised her as intended when we started this project.

Indeed........

Could be the case elsewhere as well.

I got a lot of good (I think) ideas from going thru the pictures.
Has anyone else put a couple batteries between the stringers where the bilge pump is? I assume they are raised up a bit so they don't get wet.
I have most of the engine bay 12v wiring out of my boat and planned to put it back with bus bars and stuff on the engine compartment bulkhead (which I am replacing due to rot at the bilge line). Maybe I'll put the battery charger there too.

110k, yea id say someone overspent on the build and is in underwater, no pun intended on a 10k boat thats insane, poor investment in my opinion but beautiful work and boat, id rather get a 36 Ocean Yacht in the same vintage with diesels for less than 1/2
