I would go with new tanks . replacing old tanks with other old tanks is asking for trouble as you they may not be much better then what you have .

100% agree, especially with galvanized tanks of that vintage. They may look great on the outside but it's what's going on inside that matters.
She was a 1969 36 ft wooden beauty with big blue 440s that we'll miss forever.

Give me one of your Sweet 16's, you can have the tanks from my '79! And the gas that's in them!

I'll agree with new better than old, but price may be a concern. I Bought new for my old Silverton, even though the tank was fairly easy to change, Luthers here in Bristol makes new tanks, we have dozens of boat manufacturers that use them on brand new boats

new tanks best way to go I guess...sometime ago posted tanks for 32 were made $830 each ...can't find the post..
