Thanks for the pics, I will look at them this weekend. The port engine is not making power, it was earlier this year. Runs great up to about 2500 rpm, then just won't do much better.

I had the same problem and found the secondary butterfly on the carb was stuck shut. It happened again a year later. It's a very easy fix. Just gave it a couple taps to knock it loose and sprayed some Carb cleaner in the area.

Yes, all boats after a certain year have anti siphon valves (early 80's?). The valve is just a ball bearing and a spring, easy to clean or replace. Trace the fuel line back to the tank, it'll be one of the fittings at that end.

Looked at the secondaries this weekend, they seemed to work okay. Worked them open and closed several times by hand, put sparknarrester back on. Took boat out and port engine makes power now. Thanks for the input.

Port engine started losing power again. Took cap off distributor, points were totally shot, could not hardly see them open. Engine was only making 2500 RPM. installed new points, plugs and condenser, both engines make 4000 RPM now. Boat runs great with no vibration.
