10 Meter Upgraded Swim Platform

Post by zedtwentyate »

Team Trojan -

I've got an offer pending on an '89 10 meter mid cabin and I am wondering about swim platform upgrades. My current F-27 is a real pain in the arse to climb over to get on the platform. It's especially difficult with my best bud, Dutch. He's a 50 lb hound mix that could jump over the side of the boat, but that platform is a bear to land on for him.

I know the 10 meter has a cut out and a step on the older models. I think thats a step in the right direction, however, no where near as convenient as the 1990-1991's with the molded fiberglass platform. Has anyone done any upgrades that they care to share?

For context and because everyone loves dog pics, here's Dutch. That's his favorite spot when he isn't walking the gunnels and barking at fish (wearing a life jacket, of course).

At some point I want to make a walk out to a new larger fiberglass platform, more like a boat extension :)

Dutch is very comfy looking in that shot :)

Ha ha! but on a more serious side, and back to your topic.
I would really like to do a walk through and a larger swim plateform. I think it would get way more use if it was just a little bigger and easier to get too................that sounded a little dirty........
