Thanks for the correctives and repetitive advice from the usual suspects. It was tongue-in-cheek.

You may want to wait until spring to buy the EP-60R as Lowrance is in the process of upgrading to a new model. As of a couple of months ago, they had not assigned a part number to the new version.

Well welcome to Texas, I have a spare f28 with new engines I am gonna sell this spring. Also have a trailer that will carry it. If should attract you will list it via our site. :)

You need two zincs on each shaft, one per rudder, one per tab, and the divers dream all grounded with clean grounds inside the hull, a galvanic isolator and fwc conversion kits. IF you plan to make money with this boat, think twice. Calculate your radius then double it till you learn the fishery. Your fuel bill will likely eat your profits if you are running 3hr at 25gph no?

You maybe better off selling and finding another boat down there . Look at the other charter boats down there and see the type and size they are running . You don't want to be the smallest boat to compete with the others . If your doing this full time you should consider diesels . Speed is also a factor ,no one wants to charter the slow boat to run off shore if its a long run . Around here most the big fleets are cruising in the mid 20 knots .

While I am sure you know this I am adding it so others know its more then just moving a boat .
One up grade that has not been talked about that you most likely know is is Your OUPV (6-pack) Captain’s License. If your OUPV is inshore you will need to up graded to near costal . • While you have 360 days on the water to have your license ,90 days must be on Near Coastal waters to obtain a Near Coastal Rating .

I remember going to college in Houston after growing up in Virginia. I couldn't understand why everyone was wearing down coats when I was running around in shorts and bare feet.

I am pretty sure the adjustment will work out well for you!

I would not say it's been easy. On Monday I had to wear my wind breaker and roll up the windows on the way to work.

As I was rubbing it in to one of my friends back in Chicago, he said he would be checking up on me in the middle of August.

I didn't think the summers in Houston were any worse than in Washington, DC, but they sure lasted a couple of months longer!
