Happy New Year to one and all.

Owning a marque that is no more, that by it's sheer excellence keeps on ticking somewhat like the Energizer Bunny is a lot of fun. Over the years, several knowledgeable Trojan owners on this forum have commented that "our boats were never intended to last this long, yet here they are."

I love my new Trojan, but I am more knowledgeable about my former TriCabin which I'd owned for sixteen years. It was a solid hull that could take a licking and keep on ticking.

I mentioned to my wife that our Trojans are like the Energizer Bunny, they "Take a licking but keep on ticking." She replied, "The Energizer Bunny didn't take a licking and keep on ticking, that was the Timex Watch." Sure enough, I looked it up and the Energizer Bunny's slogan was "Nothing outlasts the Energizer." later was changed to "Keeps going, going, going."

I guess my point is that these old boats of ours are probably better examples of longevity than either a Timex watch or the Energizer Bunny.

Some of you may get a kick out of this boating advertisement for Timex back when there was the joy of live tv. Go to YouTube and type in Classic Timex Motorboat Commercial

Happy New Year and may 2016 be a fantastic boating season for us all
