on my '83 International Express the sump contains a small Rule 360 bilge pump with a float activated switch that simply pumps the water overboard.

This is also where the air conditioner condensate drains.

If yours is the same you might find hair or other debris in the bottom vanes of the pump that may impede its ability to move water.

Suggest you take a look at the underside of the pump.

Also check the hoses for cracks. It could be draining into the keel.

It may not have one It may have a pump you turn on as needed . That's the way my F36 is .

My 1975 F-36 also does not have a shower sump, so you have to run the pump the whole time you are using the shower. The A/C condensate drains into the bilge, which is not to my liking.

I have thought about adding a shower sump with a float switch and pump. If I do so, I will run the condensate drains to the sump as well. If I don't add a sump, I will be adding through hulls for the condensate drains to avoid the water going into the bilge.

Fixed my shower drain today. It's a direct pump that comes right out. The hose was split..

Any way to quiet the pump it's kinda loud since it has to be on the whole time while showering.
