F-32, Where to source hoses

Post by bjanakos »

Looking to replace by bottom hoses from the seacock to the tans cooler. They appear to be 1 1/4" with a spiral steel reinforcement and somewhat flexible. Wondering if I can use a flex hose from Jamestown, or is there a molded part.

You're looking for wire wound intake water hose or wire wound wet exhaust/water hose.

Many places sell it online. Many want to sell a minimum length as well. I believe I bought 1-1/4 hose from West Marine. Not the cheapest but they would sell by the foot. Tried to buy it from my marina. They said they would have to order it??? What???? I can do that!

Yes, seems like all that's available is 12' lengths. I probably need 6' at the most, but it's nice to have some extra for an emergency repair.

1 1/4" sound right for an F32?

1-1/4" from strainer/seacock to sea pump. From sea pump to trans cooler on mine is 1/1-4" also but a molded Mercruiser hose. See no reason you couldn't do it all with bulk hose, just may need a bit more for the radius.
