F32 Steering

Post by ScurvyDog »

I am new to the boat as many have guessed. My initial impression is the rudders on the F32 are to small. When at slow speeds, 5-10 kts the boat seems to wander alot. Its to fast to differental steer with the throttles. Is this a normal trait? Was there ever a rudder mod??

No rudder mod that I know of. I've heard stories that the rudders were designed to be larger but that they had problems with bent rudder posts and shrunk them to reduce the stress on the post. I don't know how true that is.

My F-32 doesn't wander at slow speed UNLESS i'm in a following or quatering sea.
