Boat ID and Assessment

Post by jayinjax »

New to the board and the world of boat renovations. However, pretty good with wood and mechanical, so may take this on as a winter project. Anyhow, have an chance to buy into a barn find of what appears to be a '57 Trojan inboard (pictures attached). Looks to be pretty complete (w/ original engine) and was in a state of disassembly. My questions are (1) does anyone know what type/make this is from the pics, (2) based on the pics, considering I am getting for around $1000-$1500, all things considered, worth taking on? (been hard to find FMV on renovated ones), and (3) is this the kinda' go to place (forum and store) for a lot of the parts I am going to need to rebuild or are there other good resources for this kinda' stuff. Again, open to any/all feedback as I am just considering at this point, but likely have to pull the trigger in the next few days. Thanks!!!!!
