I'll have to be ready for anything this year, because I'm afraid old Das Boot is going to need a compete caulking, paint, varnish, and maybe some soundproofing/floatation gear (I've been saving squares of 1" EPS foam packing).

As you can see in the pic accompanying my posts, the V8 sort of takes over the whole middle of the boat, and with "engine mounts" consisting of steel shackles bolted into the stringers with about a 1/4" of rubber "isolation" material in between, she vibrates a bit. Not that I'm complaining about the sound. The exhaust note is sweet music.
