60 SkiBeee Restoration

Post by 60skibee »

Good afternoon all. I have completed the wood restoration of my 60 SkiBee. The boat is missing all of the original chrome pieces, horn, spotlight, Trojan Insignia, etc. Does anyone have these items and would like to sell them??

The engne is being reworked and will be installed this winter.

Thanks;

Bill,

Did you ever find those pieces? I think most of my chrome was off-the-shelf except the stainless around the gunnels and bow. I actually got some NOS parts from the old Trojan warehouse to replace my missing pieces. Hard to find 1/2" stainless flat on one side and curved on the other.

Did you engine turn out OK? Is it a 292? After replacing the block (cracked) with a junkyard short block assembly, I've had zero problems except fuel related due to crud in the tank. I now run one sintered bronze in-line filter before the pump and one regular paper in-line after it.

Now if I could just get out of the habit of running out of gas... :oops:
