I do have sympathy with what you're talking about S/S and Medicare payroll going back to IT'S NORMAL RATE but on the other hand I don't, All the monies that were not being collected from the cut were being borrowed by the FED to make up the Difference which as we know means .46 cents on every dollar is borrowed under our POTUS. And now his biggest supporters just got hit with a bigger tax bill. I had real fun Friday expanding why paychecks went down, they wanted to know why "I" took so much from them for their taxes. It was really sad...... spolops

I don't argue the need . as far as borrowing they would not need to borrow money for SS if they did not steal from the fund . ( borrowing without paying back is stealing)

2% may not seem like much but if some one is on the edge like so many are in these times it could hurt real bad.

With less money to spend the economey will take a hit . And if the feds try to help , then where is that mony going to come from ?

the 2% tax cut did more damage than the reinstatement increase. We now owe the SS system the missing funds along with the monies we borrowed plus interest on it, and as far as the economy growth from the 2% tax cut I can't see any proof of that if you take out increased govt' spending our GDP growth is 0% . Any money borrowed or taken by the govt' out the hands of it's citizens is a lost dollar forever.

Hard to say what will happen with the increase in taxes as it just happend . But its good to know only the richest Americans will get a increase ( the POTUS Wouldn't lie) So I happy to report I am the 1% :D and the 99% must be hurting real bad

Did we need to incress SS tax ? Yes . But we also need to stop wasting and spending money .

SS wasn't an increase it was a return to the level it was. And agreed on the over spending. It all should be cut.

Wanta see a tax that's not seen by most folks, Try being a small biz owner ...
property tax on trucks 6700.00
biz lic tax 4200.00
unemployment insurance est. 15000.00 does not include rebuild tax got it with that new one last yr of 500.00
worker's comp 40,000.00

add that up, I could replace a truck, buy another boat, hire my own mechanic to keep my trucks up.

and here's one for you did you know that the half of SS and Medicare that the employer pays didn't go down, So if it was to get more money out and about who could get more out there ?

Point is that its a 2% tax increase from last year. Yes its a return to what it was But thats still a increase . And smaller checks for all .

As far as the other taxes I am well aware of them . It the cost of doing business that the consumer ends up paying for in the long run .

I love all the folks that think the oil companys should pay more and get no tax breaks for research . Take that away and tax them more . then in return what do you get ? Higher prices at the pump !

Waitin' for the out cry when so called tax returns are short $ 750.00 to pay for their "O" care....then you'll hear me laughing all the way from here...
