F-26 side windows

I bought some really good stuff for the plexiglass windows. The side cockpit windows and the two from windows over the bed up front were looking pretty hazing, and this stuff cleaned the right up and they are so clear now it is just great.

I did these windows all in place. it was a little akward around the throttle controles, but eaily managed. I then got this big idea to take out the side windows and do them too. Well I tried lifting them up from the outside and it just wastn't working. So I took out the whole frame. While looking down into the frame I notice all of the goock and nastiness that is growing inside of there. The little carpet like peices for smooth sliding are all moss covered and totally grotesque. I would like to replace these, but I am not sure how to proceed. The windows frames don't seem to have a way to come apart. I have the plexi glasse out and I am working on cleaning up the tracks. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

The stuff is called scratch-off. I have a pilot friend who uses it on airplane windows. I bought it from AirCraft Spruce...

It is several grades of polishing compund and drill mouted foam pads and you progress through until you get to final polish. There are six steps, but I started at step 3 for my hazy windows. But there are a lot of scatches on the side cockpit windows that I will actually start at step 1 which is to wet sand with 600 grit. But that will be a next winter project,

Have to remove the "dot" after the php on your link
won't work otherwise

I considered trying to polish my front windows, but opted for leaving them super hazy. They act like a frosted bathroom window, letting light in, but not allowing one to see into the cabin.

It looks like the parts I need is pile weather seal. Anybody know of a source for this material?

Did you try the Beacon Marine site, or try contacting them? I think they either have the tracks or can point you in the right direction.

Thanks guys,
Bob at Beacon was able to track down exactly what I needed to replace the weatherstripping on the windows. In the mean time, I cleaned the tracks with bleach and small wirebruch and then soaked them with fabric softener. So they are clean and Snuggle fresh...

I am ready to get in the water so I am going to leave the pile wetherstripping replacement for my list on next winter project.
