A fond farewell

Post by k9th »

I sold my '79 Tri-cabin a couple months ago and bought a Carver Mariner. My Tri-cabin was my first venture into the world of bigger boats and twin engine drives. I had SeaDog for 10 years and enjoyed every minute aboard. I came to trust her as we went through some rough water and bad weather scenarios together and she never let me down. I sold her for just $1,500 less than I paid for her ten years ago, and her new owners couldn't be happier. I think that is a testament to the quality built into Trojan boats and I'd say I got a really good deal with that purchase.

I want to thank all of the forum members for your timely and insightful contributions to this forum. I was mostly on the receiving end and had little to offer other than to welcome new members on-board. I appreciate your patience and willingness to help no matter the topic. I have also made some good friends through the forum and my very best friend today is a fellow Tri-cabin owner that I met here on the forum. We just happened to be in the same town and didn't know it till we met here.

I have already checked out the Carver owner's forum and doubt I will be spending any time there at all - just not the same as here.

So I will check in here form time-to-time to just read the posts and continue to learn as much about boating as I can from you kind people.

Best Regards,

Tim

Thanks for all of your help over the years. Please do check in once in a while and continue to share your knowledge of these boats.
I needed a less expensive hobby, so I bought a boat!

Sad to see you go. I hope when I sell my F-32 I can say that I sold it for $1500 less than I paid 10 years ago. But I have probably put more money into her than I care to count. I believe we discussed some trips you were planning to South Haven a while ago. Hope you can venture to our port again with your new boat. Will it have a new name? Good luck.
