4 barrel carbs and electronic ignitions

Post by Svend »

greetings all...

I have a 1977 F30 EXPRESS with twin chysler 318's
the carbs are 2 barrel...

if i changed out carbs to 4 barrel, would i see a performance increase?
what other benefits would there be?

also... i have the stock , original electronic ignitions. what are benefits of going with a modern electronic ignitions ?

thanks!

If you have 318 marine engines ( 225hp ) they came with 4 barrel carbs . Any engine photos ? If your ignitions are not giving you any issues I would stay with the stock ones .
