1976 F-32 Fuel Line Size

Post by BradZ »

I'm not close to my boat right now. But was wondering who knows for sure what size copper line was used for the fuel line from the fuel pump to the carb?

I have 360s and thanks Playmate that's what I thought. Now I need to try to find the inline fuel filters that fit the 5/16" lines

Lots of luck on that!! they have been discontinued. I think I had a AC439 and a wix # but cannot cross or find anything to fit.

I also just had two mechanical fuel pumps rebuilt. It seems no one in USA makes mechanical anymore. Even Holley is made offshore. The ones available are pressed together and the fittings are different.

I believe last time I replaced inline filters I used Chrysler 4142597-1. I got them through MarinePartsource.com, and later ordered spares through Beacon...

I went to Lakeland Auto and Marine in Port Clinton, Ohio and they hooked me up. The use an available inline filter with two adapters to fit the original fuel line fittings. I had to relocate the line support piece but that was easily done with a piece of 1/8" x 3/4" steel flat bar. I have one picture showing the adapter. Pulled the boat out for the winter, always a sad day.
