dripless shaft seals

Has anyone used dripless shaft seals made by "OJ" ?

They seem to be geared to the ski boat crowd . Their sizing is kind of strange as the don't list the exact size on their site . What have you found ?

I have dripless shaft seal on my f-28 and they work perfectly. FYI you do have to run a water source to them from engine water as once to a certain (don,t remember) water from outside the boat will not be lubricating the seal. They work much like any seal for a turning shaft on pumps do. On the F28 I have V drives and traditional seals though good are very difficult to adjust and re pack, In my book they are the cats meow!

It should be noted that in most every Trojan Model the shaft seal hard hose acts as a intermediate bearing.

If asked we never recommend replacing the shaft seal with any type of dripless packing that has a flexible hose.
