New to us 1988 Trojan 8.6 Meter

Post by DDand »

Hi … we are new to the Trojan family as we’ve just purchased a 1988 8.6 Meter Trojan International. While it’s in pretty good shape it’s also a 30+ year old boat so I’m looking for some other people who own them. I know it’s a low volume boat but anybody else out there with one??? I’d love to hear your experiences and any specific knowledge of issues, concerns or solutions you’ve found to be helpful. So far I’ve only ordered the hat for my girlfriend but many orders to the Trojan parts store will be on the way soon I’m sure! Thanks in advance ! Dan

No ... no survey done as we are not new to boating and we got it for a song ... It has good bones but with a manufacture out of business and limited parts available I was just trying to stir up some local knowledge if you will ... for us it will be our bay boat for a few years until we find our boat to do the Great Loop and some Blue Water travel down the road.

If you don't already have the factory documentation, I would recommend getting it from Beacon Marine:
