Re: Runabout Owners Group List
Hopefully someone can help me. I inherited a Trojan wooden boat that I cant seem to figure out what it is. I've been told it is a "Ski Bee", but the emblems on the port and starboard side Aft, say "Sea Bee". An old "4-sale" sign i found in it said it was a 1959, but my father-in-law said he thought it was a 1958. I cant seem to find very much info on the internet. Can someone help out with the differences between the 2. This Trojan has an old Y-block in-board V8 and the sides of the boat look like 57 Chevy fins.

Re: Runabout Owners Group List
Yes, pics would be great. As soon as you get the info together, be sure to add your boat to the list.
Sorry for the late reply. I hope you marked this thread to followl
Here goes a guess: I have some old Trojan runabout promotional material with photos of a few of the models.
One is of a 1959 Ski Bee, 18 ft. with FINS! Real swanky looking boat. I hope you've got ahold of one of these. Could be the only one in existence. I think all the inboard runabouts were Ski Bees, and the Sea Bees were outboards, but I could be wrong. Are the Sea Bee emblems real chrome originals? Again, pics would help.
I'll post the pic I have on the forum as soon as Prowlerfish reminds me how to do that. (Thanks P.) Then I hope we get to see your boat too.

Re: Runabout Owners Group List
Here is the complete lineup of pics that I have:
The '59 Trojan Ski Bee 18' with the fins.
This '58 15-footer that looks like an I/O. (I didn't know that Trojan made I/O runabouts!)
A '58 18-footer that is really moving. This one looks similar to my '61 17 1//2'.
The big V on the stern definitely looks like my setup
This 1956 17' is also similar to my '61, but not quite as close as the '58.
I don't think the model years mean too much - I suspect many of these models came out in various years. It would've been easier to identify them if each had been given a specific model name.

Re: Runabout Owners Group List
Prowlerfish, I kind of went back and forth on getting the pics in order. The four that I have are now included in the post. I hope TerryG gets back to verify his "'57 Chevy" fins.

Re: Runabout Owners Group List
61SkiBee Thanks for the info. I know it’s been forever since you posted. For some reason, I never got the notification. The first picture you added, the 59 18’ Ski Bee is the exact boat I have.
Just got it in the garage and starting to disassemble it for restoration.

Yes, I still have my 59 Ski Bee. Sorry, I haven’t been on this forum in a long time. Any pictures of yours? I’d love to see it.
