F-26 window replacement, plexie glass

Post by BeaconMarineBob »

F-26 forward plexie gas’s window replacement.

You can remove the plexie glass and have a sign shop make you new pieces. Try and save the trunk gasket which is the rubber gasket around the out side of windows.

Best to remove the aluminum frame and take it home to work on it.
The plexie glass is secured to the aluminum track with butyl tape.

All the old butyl tap needs to be removed from the aluminum frame.

Once all is ready in install new butyl tape, install the plexie glass windows.

Install the trunk gasket

Secure the aluminum frame to the boat with 3M 4200
