Starter master switch not connecting

Went to start my 1985 Trojan International 10m, dual crusader 454. The two master switches in the salon main panel were already on for some reason. Turned the blower on for a few minutes headed up to fly bridge. Turned port and starboard power switch on. Hit the starter toggle on the starboard side and nothing happened. May have made a noise in the salon but not sure I was on top. Anyway neither side starter toggle doing anything and all switches are on. Checked batteries for both engines and they are good. So here I am. Would the main switches in the salon cause a problem kicking maybe another switch that I don't know about?
