1956 Graymarine 100

Post by boatman2100 »

Currently on E-bay with pictures. Item number: 170314892858.
This is a great running engine out of a 1956 16' Trojan Ski Bee. I was going to re-use this engine for the restoration, but I decided to go with a late model V-8. I have seen this engine model in many 1950's and 60's Trojan, Century, Lymann, and Chris Craft boats. She starts right up everytime and starts up quick too.
This engine runs great. I installed a new head gasket just to be safe, and went through all the systems. Compression is great on all 6 cylinders. Oil pressure is exactly to manufacturer specs. (see pics). Oil has been changed and it is ready for installation with no surprises.

Also included is an original Graymarine all in one gauge, (that was still connected to engine when removed), an original parts manual, and maintenance handbook. All in excellent shape. I will be happy to send pic of the motor and accesories!

Very cool! What's the drive shaft on the R/H side of the engine, does it run from the generator to another pump?

...it looks like a small drive shaft.

The driveshaft is off the back of the generator to run the water pump.
