Of all the things I've done so far, I can't believe I'm stuck on removing the wiper motors.
I ordered some nice fiberglass motor covers from Bob at Beacon but haven't been able to get the wiper motor removed from the windshield to install them.
I wish they just screwed into the sides of the housing but they don't, you have to remove the motor in order to get the back piece off.
The large nut is removed from the threaded post and a couple of screws on the side. I can pivot the motor back and forth (it's tight) but the post will not come through the windshield. I've soaked a couple of them for weeks.
I have looked all over and don't see any other fasteners but maybe I'm missing something. It sure feels like it.
Any other ideas? I have a pic if anyone wants to email me.
thanks,
Bob

I did mine a couple of years ago.
I don't remember the details (probably blocked them out on purpose), but I DO remember it was a PITA!
Look for a fastening washer (looks like an almost closed "U") around the post somewhere. I seem to recall something about one of those and the flathead screwdriver I used to get it off going into my thumb. Then I remember Scotch. Lots and lots of Scotch....

Well, that and a scar.
