1958 Trojan Marlin 15
Hello, here's a few pictures of my 1958 Trojan Marlin. It has a 1967 Johnson 40 hp on it that my uncle put on it back in '67.

Thank you, it's a fully wooden hull. I've had to make some repairs to the bottom because of trailer damage. I also had to patch some bad spots on the inside floor then reveneer the entire inside floor because the garage roof had leaked on it for years. My uncle bought the boat used in the sixties and he stopped using it in 1978. It sat until I got it & started to restore it in 2000. I finished it in Oct. 2001.[/img][/img]
Marlin 15,
I take it this one's been in the family a long time. Was it purchased and originally fitted with the new mahogany in '67? Don't tell me that was a new Mustang when the pic was taken! What a nice tow vehicle. Also, if it's the same boat on the water behind you in the beach pic, it looks like it had a convertible top at one time. These really take a beating over the years. Wondering if you have it restored? My '61, came with a nicely designed unit, but right now it's nothing but a frame and barely a pattern of the original canvas. There was actually a hole BURNED through the top of it. Must've been some boat party.
Like to hear more history behind the pics.

The Mustang was my restoration project before the Trojan. My cousin found the original bows for the convertible top a couple of years ago after I had restored the rest of the boat. I found a Taylor Made bimini top on ebay with similar dimensions to fit the bows so that is what I'm using now. I would like to have a correct top and side curtains made to replace the ones that came with the boat when new but I don't have any old ones for a pattern yet. The Sea Queens used the same top & side curtains I believe. I took some pictures today of the top I'm using. Pardon the dust but it's the first time out of the barn this year.[/img][/img][/img][img]
