Flybridge bench cushion
I need to have a new bench cushion and seatback made for my 1978 F-32 flybridge bench in front of the helm. Anyone have pictures to show me how theirs is attached to the fiberglass bench? Looks like there was a large bungee cord holding the back of the seat cushion down but I am not sure if the seat cushion was attached to the back cushion or not and how was the back cushion held in place. I see two holes in either end of my bench. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

My bench cushion is bottom and back as one piece. Shock cord is used at the crevice or split and pulled tight through the holes on either side of the console.
I have no adhesive or velcro keeping the back cusion in place. It just stays there...
In between the frosty cold ones and a little work this weekend while I'm down there, I'll look at how it's attached again...if you like!

flybridge bench cushion
How does the bottom cushion attach to the back cushion? Is there a vinyl strip linking them? is the back of the seat cushion and the bottom of the back cushion at at 45 degree angle or are they flat where they come together?

I just had mine remade last summer. Yes it has a 45 degree were the bottom and back are fastened together. Mine had snaps to hold the back up that looked like they pulled out so then someone tried velcro. The velcro did not work at all. I elected not to do either figuring if it did not sit by its self I could add something later. So far it sits just fine so I'm leaving it that way.

cushion seat on flybridge
I think I know now how to tell the cushion guy to make it. What thickness foam do you have on the seat and the back? Is the seat thicker than the back cushion?

I'm pleased that I read this thread. I was also going to use VELCRO but now I am going to leave it alone.
