Tri-cabin engine intakes

Post by rcamaine »

First season painting the bottom, and when I did a close inspection on the engine intakes, looks like the last owner had painted some heavy over them. The Starboard one has I would say about 75% of the open holes, while the Port side has maybe 50% open.

Looks like just paint covering these very small holes - and figured I could clean them out.

My question is what do others use to paint these intakes - if anything? Also, has anyone ever replaced them?

Thanks!

yes most I've seen paint them, I do mine, but they do have to be cleaned and open. As far as replacing some intakes do have removable screens, and some the whole thru hull has to come out and be re-bedded
