Holey Moley! 100% of us are doing re-powers!!!!

(OK, so it's only 1 vote)

In addition to repowering, I'm:

Installing a new (to me closed-cooled) generator
Installing new carpet throughout
Installing a dinette
Painting the engine room
Installing a new water heater
Installing two vacuflush heads
Installing hard railing all-around (formerly just had hard pipe on the pulpit and aft deck. Thanks Aaron)

How-to (or how-not-to) threads on each to follow.....

I mean "Thanks Aaron :( "

One day I happened to mouth-off to my wife that Aaron said that if he were to do a refit, he would replace the cable lifelines with hard railing all the way around. She said "That sounds like a great idea!" After that there was pretty much no turning back......

Everything has been purchased, the existing stanchions have had their bulbous tops cut off, and I merely await somewhat warmer weather.

Only one thing left for 2015 and that is new carbs,as already done
---new aft gas tanks, fill hose etc
---new holding tank
---new waste lines (that was fun)
---re and re water tank to glass up a hole in it (that is what started it all)
---props re-pitched and tuned

Planning a month away thru the Trent so I am hoping I got everything and we can enjoy the boat...Mike

I'm planning to dismantle, refit, upgrade, repaint, re-carpet and whatever else is necessary to make this thing like new again.
An 18 month project, I hope :0

I'll be buying new canvas in the Spring. The canvas that came with the boat was old when I got it, and I finally have the money to replace it.

After taking possession in August, I have managed to get both 351's to run and idle, did short haul to clean bottom & running gear, touched up bottom paint and barnical blocker to running gear, replaced refrigerator, mad cleaned boat, (scrub-x), kill and remove 15 wasps nest, repair steering shaft rod, installed new three bank battery tender, installed three marine batteries, hung canvass in cockpit, minor screw re-tightening, replace starboard shift cable on lower helm and installed loud a$$ horn.

Now to the upgrades and the "to do's" this spring;
Installing current/up-to-date electronics (upper & lower helm
Rewire upper helm to factory (hoping to resolve RPM issue)
Tune up engines & oil changes
Add blue LED lights to lower deck gunnel & spot lights.

And most importantly to use the boat as much and the summer budget allows.
