Painting of shower panels - good idea?

Post by k9th »

I have a '79 Tri-cabin and my wife has been wondering if it is possible to successfully paint the shower panels in the master head? They appear to be masonite panels (or something similar) with a coating of some sort on the side of the panel that gets wet. I am not sure what type of paint would need to be used to stick to that surface if anything will stick at all for any long period of time.

Any help or experiences in doing this would be appreciated.

Hi Tim,

I painted mine with a high quality enamel paint and it's working fine. Looks a lot better then it did plus added a little color.
