FROM AARON.....AN UPDATE....& FINISHED WINTERIZING

Post by aaronbocknek »

hey guys and gals. hope you all had a happy and safe thanksgiving. met with my oncologist on weds the 25th to read my PETscan from the previous saturday. encouraging with 3 rounds of chemo. 3 more scheduled at 3 week intervals for now. tumor shows response and has 'melted' by about 28% of original size. still a long road ahead, but, i wanted to report.

went up to the boat today and finished winterizing the HVAC system and the water systems. she's all set for her nap. i may have overdone it though as i'm pretty much wiped out right now.....1813 on sat the 28th......but it's done.

Congratulations! I'm not an oncologist, but a 28% reduction sounds to me like you're kicking that tumor's @$$. Keep up the good fight and get rid of that thing once and for all. Hopefully you'll be tumor free before you splash your boat in the Spring.

thanks for the words of encouragement folks. this has been a rough few months. i will not sugar coat that. i still get awful pain spikes, usually at night. i get moody, and grumpy and sometimes my internal thermometer is all over the map. brad is amazing in his support and his care, which i am grateful. i am also truly grateful for and a BIG SHOUT OUT TO PERRY--- he's kept up with me almost every week via text or voice since this whole ordeal started. thank you. thank you for being a friend and showing concern. it is appreciated. so thanks much P-DOGG!!!!!!
the one thing that i despise the most is the late late night pain and sleeplessness that makes me wander around the house at the wee hours of the morning. when day breaks, things sort of align themselves again. i'm very confused about that. sorry for the ramble. winterizing went well this year, as i outsourced winterizing the engines and genset to a mechanic....at brads insistence mind you. the rest i accomplished on my own, INCLUDING, a boatside city water connection. i replaced the old one that was just literally falling apart. hope everyone's winterizing has gone well. i'm looking forward to spring!!!
