Cable Replacement

I tried the Marvel Mystry method on my 4 shift cables and it helped some.
I eventually replaced the original 1977 cables with Teleflex Extreme cables. Working alone it took about 4 hours and the cost was less than $250 for the cables and connection kit. You need different fittings on the trans end. What difference and you can feel the detents.
