Beautiful job! I'd love to learn more about the raised galley. How are you using the space underneath? And did you reconfigure the companionway stairs? I'm guessing that you did by looking at one of the photos.

Nancy Paul is correct youre thinking of your 32. The 36 s had what was termed a raised galley. To amswer another question I recieved , the teak is oiled once a year with Danish furniture teak oil which I i get at the Scandinavian furniture store. I took 14 years of Old English off the teak before i oiled it . The original owner used that on the interior. Actually that was the hardest part of redoing her, lots of time and elbow grease. Back in 1978 a buddy of mine and i bought a matched pair of F 32 s . They were the first ones produced with no lower helms or consols. Great boats we went all over with those they had Chrysler 360 s in them .

Interesting. I love the wood, but the helm layout wouldn't work for us, but its all about how you, the owners, uses a vessel ...
The raised galley is a great idea, and provides some more storage beneath ... cool!
We use the lower helm when its cold or rainy (it does get down into the 30's and 40's here). No wheel here would be bad, and your lower helm gauges would not be visible when standing up, or with a higher seat.
We use the upper helm to dock because of the improved visibility above.
We use SeaClear software on a laptop for long distance navigation. An AirCard gives us Internet anywhere (except 20 miles offshore) for weather (Wundermap is great), communication, the Trojan forums and entertainment. The laptop provides a large GPS screen (as well as a 3rd GPS on board). Its sits right where your monitor is, and the laptop plus into a 12V cigarette lighter for power.

Duchess and Paul,
You're right - I missed the fact that it's an F36.
