I am still looking for the sofa , I just can't find the one I want I Have come close but just can;t find it . Help I have been looking for 2 years or more . All i what is a brand new 77/78 trojan sleeper sofa ( small sofa or large love seat )

I used peir1 imports, The had a micro fiber fold up bed couch, for around $700.00

Have you thought about having it re-upholstered. If the weight works for you and the size is okay then just have it re-upholstered with the fabric you like and add some extra padding where you think you need it. Might be a little more than new but it will do what you want.

I am still looking for a a ssleeper just like my F36 came with I know it also came with the 1985 trojans ( mine is a 77/78 ) HELP ME !!

I bought a full size sleeper at Jennifer Convertibles, but it isn't made by them. The maker is some german name I can't recall (kauffenhauer or something like that) . We ordered it from from a book, and were able to choose from a very wide variety of fabrics. It was about a thousand bucks, but it is perfect for what we wanted.

I have found some will work sofas But the one that came with it . Is vert very Coffy and it makes out to a coffy sleeper . and it is very lite so lite one man or woman can throw on the shoulder and carry it down the dock No proplem . If you have one in good shape I will show you ... but when I walk down the dock with it I am Not Coming Back !

Check out Workbench mag August 2009. If you are handy this might be the way to go. It offers some additional storage options as well. The plans call for a twin mattress, which might be a draw back if you use it as a sleeper often. Let me know if you build it.

Me make a sofa , do you have a clue about me . I can't even make a bed ! done belive it ask my better half she will tell you . But I can over haul anything that runs

I know a guy that can build anything but can overhaul nothing. I guess it all depends on one's perspective.

Some times it helps to step back and look at the big picture and ask what is it that we are trying to accomplish? Are you looking to retrofit something that may no longer suit your needs, or would it be better to enhance the concept with modern increased functionally.

There are a lot of skilled craftsman out of work. It might help to think of it as economic stimulus. You might even find a craftsman who will build it in exchange for you overhauling something?

I am in the process of changing my sound system on my 1995 F-32. I am not sure if I am overhauling the old or building a new system. It will still produce sound so I guess it’s an overhaul.

The sleeper in Workbench magazine has an added benefit if its built it in vinyl; if you are like me and have aromatic fishing buddies passing out on the couch you can simply wheel the bed outside, hose them off with a gentle mist and roll them back in. Chances are they won’t even wake up and the wife won’t complain about that mysterious smell coming from the sofa.

I follow your comments on the chat room, thanks for all your great advice and sharing your experiences. I am new to this and have gained a wealth of knowledge from reading yours and others comments.
