Great job you seem to be relentless on this project most people would have given up but you are getting closer by the week, I can not wait to see it in the water.

UPDATE:
well I worked down the shop from 9am to 7pm on sunday doing nothing but sanding primer, non stop, all freakn day, (did I mention how much i despise sanding?, ALOT!) After sanding with 400 grit for 5 hrs non stop I had 1/2 the hull sanded. I was very careful not to sand through the primer however I was not totally happy with the primer at this point. When I primed i only had time for 2 coats. I had planned on putting on two additional coats of primer the next morning but I had a small job pop up that we had to do first which put me past the recoat time. I made the decision (as I was trying not to cry like a baby!) to switch to 240 grit paper and start over resanding the primer completely smooth (have I mentioned how much I loath sanding!!!!) which exposed the gellcoat all over the place
Monday I spent 3 hrs blowing off dust from sanding

, wiped everything down and shot two new coats of primer. Spent the entire day yesterday doing what I love to do the most in world, SANDING

!!! I then cleaned all the dust again, redid all the masking (too much sanding dust) and went home last nite at 9:30. At least the boat seemed happy before I left! guess it knew what was coming next!

Incredible job Todd! Can't wait to see pictures of her in the water. I'm headed out to mine right now. Have a good 3 weeks of work left to do.
Take care,
Mike

Thanks guys! this has been such a learning experience !!!!! I can not imagine what kind of quality a "typical" paint job from a marina would look like but I can tell you that I have put my heart and soul into the prep of this boat for years! The guys that sprayed my hull were supposed to spray the the topsides for me this past thursday. they got tied up on another project. I waited for them until 1:30pm at which point I said "Hell I can do this"!, we had everything prepped so i grabbed my $70 HD Huskey spray gun and went to town! I am very happy with the results consideriding that I jeprodized 8 months of prep with my impatience to wait and reprep another day! I still need to touch up the cockpit sides alittle and tape off and roll the non skid .
